Bigger Government?

We have reason to be concerned that the cry for change becomes more governmental controls (and of course higher taxes without much direct influence). While it would be great to see some improvements across the board, it is also scary to put too much in the hands of the federal government. Often problems should be solved on a state level instead.

Meridian ran an article of interest giving some of our founding fathers' opinions on the subject of more government. Click the post title or here: http://www.ldsmag.com/ideas/090126more.html to read the full article.

And what's up with the President refusing to listen to the Secret Service's recommendations that are in the interest of the nation as well as the President himself? By the way, his codeword is "Renegade."

I do pray he can do all he thinks he can and wants to do. His heart seems to be in the right place in his desire to correct ills but I worry a little about his humility. Pride cometh before a fall. Reliance on and faith in God is a good thing - even for the President of the United States.
