Grandma Date

We had a little grandma date.  Aubrey, Nat, their kids and I went swimming. I'm posting more pics on my much neglected grandma blog so if you have an invite (or ask me if you want one), head on over.  http://debbie-miller.blogspot.com/
 Then we ate at IHOP...

Then we worked on a project (girl stuff).  I guess I need to dust off my sewing machine.

Great day for popsicles

I usually put these kind of pictures on my Grandma Blog but I haven't had much to add here lately so...

So cute!!

The only thing better on a summer day is if more could be here with us!  We celebrated following Alex's baptism today.  Adam managed to dodge the camera except when I took one of their family but I have orders not to publish that one.  We have some serious camera phobics in this family.

Cars 2

Believe it or not this is the first time I've ever gone to a movie on it's opening weekend.  And it was Cars 2 of all things!  Pretty cute and the kids loved it.  Max spilled his water bottle and insisted on taking his clothes off!  The boys' other grandma, Michele joined us.  Rob, Fred and Jenn were also there but thought we needed 3 photographers apparently.  Jon would have liked to come but he had a photo shoot and was sad the kids couldn't be here for the fun weekend anyway.

The boys and the new toys

To say that Jon is excited to see his kids would be a gross understatement. Meanwhile he has been on the lookout and found these fun new-to-us toys for the kids to play with. Josh, Asher, Max (and later, Avery, Emma and Olivia) had fun checking them out.

Another Nieces Night

The girls love spending time with their Aunt Aubrey.  Last night they did manicures (Kenlee had fun; she just doesn't like photos).  So fun for them!

With the grandkids at the Treehouse Museum

Asher would not stand in the picture because he was loudly protesting the fact we had to leave. Apparently it took Jenn AND Nat to take the photo so they're behind the camera. I had to get this one from Nat's blog since I was in the picture. If you want to see some more fun ones check out my Grandma Blog and Natalie's.

Update

have taken a few days off work to spend time with family. It's been such a nice break. I know I'm meant to work only part time! I just like being able to take the kids places and do other things without being so stressed with work.

Unfortunately we've had some of the worst winter weather of this season and temperatures are 15 degrees below normal for this time of year! We got lots of snow again today. It has put a bit of a damper on Chris and family's activities while here. They wanted to show Kiyomi's dad Kennecott Copper Mine but it was closed - opens April 1st - the day they leave. They still want to see Temple Square but it's pretty cold for that too. Wish they could have come at a nicer time - you just never know about March weather.

I hope to get my income tax filed this week - at least that's my goal, I mean why procrastinate to the very last minute? I really don't like putting things off but I hate tax time!

The photographer in Japan did not have any traditional boy's clothing to fit Jordan so he will get some done when he gets his Junior High school uniform.
