Horizon Credit Union’s SAFE SHRED SATURDAY is a free community event for residents who would like to have their private documents properly destroyed in a SAFE and efficient way. There is no limit to how much paper people can shred at this free event. Some examples of items that may need shredding are unneeded documents with Social Security Numbers, account numbers, or other materials with personal identification.

In General Priesthood Meeting on Saturday night, President Uchtdorf spoke on the sin of pride. Here are few points:
This is certainly a common problem and one we must constantly fight against as it is one of Satan's favorite tools."I believe there is a difference between being proud of certain things and being prideful," President Uchtdorf said, adding he is proud of many things, including his wife, their children and grandchildren, the youth of the Church and the priesthood bearers to whom he was speaking.
"So what is the difference between this kind of feeling and the pride that President Benson called 'the universal sin'?" he asked. "Pride is sinful … because it breeds hatred or hostility and places us in opposition to God and our fellowmen. At its core, pride is a sin of comparison, for though it usually begins with 'Look how wonderful I am and what great things I have done,' it always seems to end with 'Therefore, I am better than you.'"
A heart filled with pride violates two great commandments he said, explaining that instead of worshiping God and loving one's neighbor, a prideful person loves and worships the image he sees in the mirror.
"Pride is the great sin of self-elevation," President Uchtdorf said. "It is, for so many, a personal Rameumptom, a holy stand that justifies envy, greed and vanity."
Pride has many faces, he said, leading some to revel in their own perceived self-worth. "At its core is the desire to be admired or envied. It is the sin of self-glorification.
"For others, pride turns to envy: They look bitterly at those who have better positions, more talents or greater possessions than they do. They seek to hurt, diminish and tear down others in a misguided and unworthy attempt at self-elevation. When those they envy stumble or suffer, they secretly cheer."
"To be angry is to yield to the influence of Satan," said President Monson in his concluding address of Saturday night's priesthood session in the Conference Center. "No one can make us angry. It is our choice. If we desire to have a proper spirit with us at all times, we must choose to refrain from becoming angry. I testify that such is possible."All are susceptible to feelings that, if left unchecked, can lead to anger, he added.
"We experience displeasure or irritation or antagonism and, if we so choose, we lose our temper and become angry with others," he said. "Ironically, those others are often members of our own families — the people we really love the most."

I had a good time this weekend and I danced until I dropped! I definitely need to do this more often. I attended two sessions of dance instruction and two dances for a total of 7 1/2 hours dancing. I was in much better shape last summer. I did learn a new easy line dance I had never done (Regae cowboy), got a little better at the cowboy waltz and we learned some new cha-cha moves too.
