Computer and Josh Update

Well, Jon took my new computer to the Apple store and they replaced the hard-drive still under warranty. They say it's working fine now so we just need to go back and get it when we get time! So, unless my computer bad luck interferes, I'll soon be back in business. Yay!! The bad news is they didn't even try to recover the data from the hard drive. Chris was pretty ticked because he knows what is possible! So, we lost some important pictures mostly. I need to make sure I always have a backup. Trouble was I was right in the middle of the process of getting the computer set up for me and bam!

Josh also seems to be getting better. He said his legs didn't even hurt when he did "criss cross applesauce" - I guess this is the politically correct way to sit "Indian style". The doctor thinks it will just continue to get better. Hope so!

Josh

Josh is not out of the woods yet, apparently. A couple of days ago his leg started hurting again. By yesterday afternoon he couldn't even walk home from school. The doctor said if it was just that viral thing it would go away and not come back. Since he was feeling better the next day we assumed that was what it was. This makes us worry. So, more prayer requests! Thanks

Update on Josh

Check out Aubrey's blog for details but it looks like they're thinking his problem was viral or bacterial infection and he did test positive for strep and there was some concern about rheumatic fever but at this point Josh is able to walk OK again. These things can sure scare us. Thanks again for your thoughts and prayers.

Megan also was released from the hospital with a PICC line and continuing antibiotics. At least she is improving after several days of 103 degree fevers that were not letting up!

Just When You Thought it Was Safe...

Today we're worried about Josh. He has had some odd infections that have been unexplained. Today when he woke up he couldn't walk and after spending 4 hours in the clinic, Aubrey still doesn't know what's going on with him. They have to go back tomorrow. The phlebotomist was not able to get his blood and they want to tap his knee fluid. The doctor detected a heart murmur (never had one before) and they did an EKG. The doctor was foreign, spoke with an accent and was not very good with explaining to Aubrey what he was checking for. We're in the dark.

So, please remember him in your prayers. We know the power of prayer and felt it with Avery. Thanks so much!

Cutest Kid

This is one great kid. Am I biased???? We're so happy they are coming home soon.
Aubrey called yesterday to tell me something cute that Josh said. She was cleaning the house and planning to take pictures. She told Josh it was so grandma could see the house and he said, "she's coming here?" :( Aubrey said "No, we'll put them on the computer for her to see what it looks like and he said, "grandma has a 'space'?" Can you believe a five year old knows about My Space? He also has a blog called "Joshy Says" - you can go there for some of the other cute things about him and if you want to see Aubrey's house, it's on her blog. (Right sidebar). We also have another blog. Karla (my daughter-in-law) and her sisters have created one for the Stephenson family so our blog tree grows.
