Interesting article here - click on the post title to read it. GPS units installed on our cars so we can be taxed for our mileage? Get real. I don't like the side effect of someone watching our every move. Of course we can always trust the government to never do us any harm, right? Their intentions are always good and they would never use information for a purpose it was not intended for, right? Wake up!
Supposedly this would be a replacement for fuel taxes. I guess the economy cars some of us drive are just not cutting it with the gasoline tax and they're looking for ways to hike it. So, saving fuel and the environment isn't really the goal here; it's all about money.
