Basic Insurance & News

While we're waiting for the "miracle" solution, there is a temporary measure available beginning next Monday for Utah adults to enroll in PCN (Primary Care Network). It closes when the funding runs out and they anticipate it will be open enrollment for about a month this time. It's not great but it will help with basic care with a primary care physician, medications, and dental so if you have lost insurance due to this recession, etc., it would be worthwhile to enroll. Click the post title or read more in the Tribune. Do it now before you need it - I should say do it Monday, when it officially opens for about a month - if you apply before that, you will be denied (government red-tape).

If the kids need coverage and you don't make TOO much money (not likely in my family right now), sign them up for CHIP. This has been continuously open so you don't have to wait. However, it is not retroactive so sign them up before you need it!

I heard through the Facebook grapevine that Steve O found a job. He was pretty confident when he interviewed with ACS. Congratulations! Also, Karla started doing CNA work for home health. Jon, Fred and Aubrey are still looking. Still needing prayers in their behalf.
