Genealogy Project

The LDS Church FamilySearch program helps people all over the world, regardless of religious orientation, to find their ancestors. In 2006 a huge volunteer indexing program was started and thanks to the help of thousands of volunteers who give as much time as they can spare, without any minimum expectation, to the project. This makes searching easier and more accurate. Anyone with access to the internet can participate in this huge volunteer effort. It allows indexing so particular names can be found within documents using search features. IndexingFamilySearch will show you how to become a volunteer.
