Soft water!

Jon and Ken installed my new water softener (income tax refund treat for me) and finally, after five years here, my dishes came out clean!  What a difference this can make.  I've never lived in a place with such hard water and I never felt a softener was a must-have item.  People told me you don't live in Bountiful without one and it's true.  It was a lot of work and I used lots of chemicals on the dishwasher to get out the hard water deposits but it worked!  I'm so excited about this.  I had  resorted to hand-washing and my kitchen is just too small to have dishes all over the counter.
