Laughter is the best medicine - Dave Barry's Year in Review

This past season I took the opportunity to enjoy some fun humor - old movies I had either never seen or viewed so long ago I didn't remember them.  Some of them included:  Christmas Story, Elf, Home Alone, Home Alone 2, What About Bob, Multiplicity.  I laughed heartily and it felt great!  Studies have shown that patients heal faster with laughter - especially the gut-busting belly laugh (think Patch Adams style therapy).  And, in hard times we can either laugh or cry.  I choose laughter.  So, in honor of the therapeutic effect of humor (a great way to start the new year), I share a link.  This isn't so much the belly laugh type, but it might be your style in laughing at us as a culture.  If we can't laugh at ourselves, we're in trouble!

In his wry tongue-in-cheek form of humor, Dave Barry reviews 2010.  He says there were bright spots. Three, to be exact:
1. The Yankees did not even get into the World Series.
2. There were several days during which Lindsay Lohan was neither going into, nor getting out of, rehab.
3. Apple released the hugely anticipated iPad, giving iPhone people, at long last, something to do with their other hand.

Other than that, 2010 was a disaster. Read his full article here to reminisce about the year month by month.
