General Conference Weekend

I love General Conference! From the Deseret News:
During a solemn assembly today in the Conference Center, members of the LDS Church are expected to sustain a new First Presidency and a new apostle as part of the faith's 178th Annual General Conference.

Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints were not surprised on Feb. 4, when President Thomas S. Monson was named the church's top leader, but the announcement of who his counselors would be held some suspense, as does the expected naming of a new member of the Quorum of the Twelve during the opening session at 10 a.m.

I'll be watching. I hope many of my friends and family are also able to do so. We are always blessed from hearing the prophetic words and counsel of our leaders, guided by the spirit of our Heavenly Father. Saturday night - dance with Steve!

We had a sleepover at Grandma's house last night. Jordan, Julia, Jasmine, Jaelyn, Adam, Noah, & Emma stayed at my house so their parents could see Bill Cosby "in concert" in Wendover (as Cosby said, "120 miles from what?" and "the government said go west and get free land" - seeing Wendover, it made sense why it was free.) Here's how the kids spent their play time:
