Economic Stimulus Check

How I spent mine:

Energy efficient basement windows
Flowers/plants
Topsoil (for garden and flower bed)
Used bike (for exercise, not riding to work)
Couple tanks of gas

Windows will be on the lower level here...

My "economical" wheels now cost twice as much to fill the tank as when I bought it. Same style but obviously not my exact car (Palm trees???)

The truly economical wheels ~ I only paid $30 for it and it runs on peddle power.

Except for the gas going to the middle east, the money stayed local. And, that just about did it. But, I'm pleased with the way my yard is looking now and it was nice to have some cash to spend on it.

Who I am...

I'm "Dr. Mom," "Dex," "Merry Maid" (or Jetson's "Rosie"), "Betty Crocker," "Nurse Nancy," "Mom's B&B," "Miller Moving & Storage," "Dear Abby," "Got Junk?" "Google Maps," "Wiki-mom," "Memory Keeper" or "The Nanny" depending on who needs me at the moment. I'm a Mormon mom and grandma (traditional but sometimes unconventional). I like the new term for us boomer grandmas (glam-mother) because we have spent our whole lives redefining rules and stereotypes. WYSIWYG! I must have chocolate every day and I can say the alphabet backwards (fast!) - so can all my kids - our claim to fame!

Fundamental Principles of Our Religion

We don't spend our twenties trying to "find" ourselves....we know who we are. This gives us a jump-start on life!

Interesting words I like

Dulcet - adj. A sound or voice so gorgeous you just have to listen to it again and again no matter what. So recognizable that even the faintest hint of it in the distance can send your mind reeling. "I wish i could speak to her again just to hear those dulcet tones - Urban Dictionary... and the more traditional definition: 1, pleasant to the ear; melodious. 2. pleasant or agreeable to the eye or the feelings; soothing.
Quotidian - adj. usual or customary; everyday: quotidian needs.

enamor v. to inflame with love —usually used in the passive with of 2 : to cause to feel a strong or excessive interest or fascination
ecotistical adj. feeling self-important due to conservationist ecological practices
Mensch n. (Yiddish) a person with whom you would be happy to befriend and associate

Evagation n. the act of wandering; excursion; a roving or rambling
