Received word from Chris in Japan. They surprised Kiyomi's dad and came earlier than he thought. Ticket prices were better to leave a little sooner even though it meant Jordan could only attend three days of his basketball camp in order to do it. Here's the note explaining their only casualty:

Just letting you know we are here. Everything went well until we went to go get sushi. We don't all fit in the car so Jordan and I rode our bikes. On the way Jordan ran into a cinderblock wall with the left side of his bike and ended up cutting open his foot. We had to take him to the hospital to get it stitched up. So he got to spend his first evening in the hospital and will get to spend the next week or so sitting around the house since his foot won't fit in any shoes with the bandages on. Other than that things are going well. Kiyomi's dad was excited to find out we got here earlier than expected.
