Happy Birthday, Fred!

Fred is our April Fool. At least we never forget his birthday, even if he gets jokes instead of gifts...
Their family celebrated at the Texas Roadhouse.
Fred, Noah, Adam and Emma
Chris and family left this morning. This is how Fred started his birthday - driving them to the airport at 5:30 AM. I doubt Chris slept at all getting everything ready to have the whole family out the door so early. He lost some valuable papers while here so we're all on the lookout for a notebook - hopefully it will turn up in some strange as yet unknown place (soon) and that he is not a victim of identity theft since it had all their personal information required at the immigration office. Fortunately not the passports, but plenty of other documentation to make it easy for a crook. This is NOT an April Fool's Joke.

In other news:

I got the email - Barack Obama confirmed me as his relative - 4th cousin once removed. Of course I knew it was error immediately since I have not posted my family tree on Facebook's "We're Related" but it was a pretty good joke for the day, however.

Also...

Mitt Romney recently said:

"America voted for change," Romney said this year at the CPAC. "America did not vote for a boatload of new government spending programs that would guarantee higher taxes and high deficits as far as the eye can see, and that would threaten our currency, our economy and our future."

While conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh has been criticized for saying flatly he hopes Obama fails as president, Romney has added a courteous caveat to his well wishes.

"Like everyone who loves this country, I want him to adopt correct principles and then to succeed," he told the House Republicans in January. (To read the rest of the article, click the post title).

So, I'm back at work - that's enough of an April 1 for me. How is your day?
