Twin Falls, Idaho Temple

Close enough to visit, the new Twin Falls, Idaho LDS Temple is having a public open house this summer. Everyone can come see inside before it is dedicated. Our kids enjoyed seeing the San Diego Temple this way and it would be fun to go see this one while waiting for the Draper and South Jordan Temples to open. If you want, tickets became available online yesterday. Go to LDS.org, choose Temples and Family History from the menu, then on the left sidebar you can get the alphabetical listing. Go to Twin Falls and you can get open house information there. This is the city where my mom was born.

Who I am...

I'm "Dr. Mom," "Dex," "Merry Maid" (or Jetson's "Rosie"), "Betty Crocker," "Nurse Nancy," "Mom's B&B," "Miller Moving & Storage," "Dear Abby," "Got Junk?" "Google Maps," "Wiki-mom," "Memory Keeper" or "The Nanny" depending on who needs me at the moment. I'm a Mormon mom and grandma (traditional but sometimes unconventional). I like the new term for us boomer grandmas (glam-mother) because we have spent our whole lives redefining rules and stereotypes. WYSIWYG! I must have chocolate every day and I can say the alphabet backwards (fast!) - so can all my kids - our claim to fame!

Fundamental Principles of Our Religion

We don't spend our twenties trying to "find" ourselves....we know who we are. This gives us a jump-start on life!

Dulcet - adj. A sound or voice so gorgeous you just have to listen to it again and again no matter what. So recognizable that even the faintest hint of it in the distance can send your mind reeling.
