My spring flowerbed

It always takes a lot of work in the spring and since I've been under the weather, I'm behind schedule so I canceled the conference I planned to attend and got this done. Steve O helped me remove some overgrown ivy and Jenn's family gave me flowers for Mother's Day. I love the Basket of Gold that comes in the spring - wish it could stay all summer. Next week - back yard.

Looks beautiful, as usual! With this beautiful (perfect) weather I haven't been able to resist being outside today. Even as I type this, I sit on my swing under a tree in the back yard. I LOVE spring!

Who I am...

I'm "Dr. Mom," "Dex," "Merry Maid" (or Jetson's "Rosie"), "Betty Crocker," "Nurse Nancy," "Mom's B&B," "Miller Moving & Storage," "Dear Abby," "Got Junk?" "Google Maps," "Wiki-mom," "Memory Keeper" or "The Nanny" depending on who needs me at the moment. I'm a Mormon mom and grandma (traditional but sometimes unconventional). I like the new term for us boomer grandmas (glam-mother) because we have spent our whole lives redefining rules and stereotypes. WYSIWYG! I must have chocolate every day and I can say the alphabet backwards (fast!) - so can all my kids - our claim to fame!

Fundamental Principles of Our Religion

We don't spend our twenties trying to "find" ourselves....we know who we are. This gives us a jump-start on life!

Dulcet - adj. A sound or voice so gorgeous you just have to listen to it again and again no matter what. So recognizable that even the faintest hint of it in the distance can send your mind reeling. "I wish i could speak to her again just to hear those dulcet tones - Urban Dictionary... and the more traditional definition: 1, pleasant to the ear; melodious. 2. pleasant or agreeable to the eye or the feelings; soothing.
Quotidian - adj. usual or customary; everyday: quotidian needs.

enamor v. to inflame with love —usually used in the passive with of 2 : to cause to feel a strong or excessive interest or fascination
ecotistical adj. feeling self-important due to conservationist ecological practices
