FLDS is not LDS - and Not MORMON

Referring to FLDS as Mormon or LDS is not so different from calling a Protestant a Catholic because originally they branched off from the same religion. When a group breaks off and forms their own church, with their own "rules" and they are no longer acknowledged by the original source, they are no longer part of the parent church.

  1. If I ever get some time to sit down and really blog again, I'm going to go more in-depth with this. Since I've been living out-of-state, it's been extremely frustrating for me to be tagged as "Mormon" and associated with the Polygamist nonsense on the news. It's important to me to spread the word about the confusion...
