Tornado Warning

Update on Friday - They didn't suffer any damage! Scary stuff. At least with the big earthquake we're supposed to get one day, we will just be surprised rather than worrying all the time when the "warnings" occur so often. Is this a good thing? Hmmmmmmm

Please add Aubrey, Steve, Josh and Asher to your prayers. They are having a severe tornado warning and seeking cover. Right now Aubrey is in the back room of Payless where she works and the windows are shaking. Steve has the boys at home, hanging out in the storage closet. They announced this was the worst they have expected since 1935. I have visions of Wizard of Oz and Where the Heart Is. These are my only real experiences with Tornados, even though there was one here a few years back that touched down but I didn't actually see or experience it firsthand.

Who I am...

I'm "Dr. Mom," "Dex," "Merry Maid" (or Jetson's "Rosie"), "Betty Crocker," "Nurse Nancy," "Mom's B&B," "Miller Moving & Storage," "Dear Abby," "Got Junk?" "Google Maps," "Wiki-mom," "Memory Keeper" or "The Nanny" depending on who needs me at the moment. I'm a Mormon mom and grandma (traditional but sometimes unconventional). I like the new term for us boomer grandmas (glam-mother) because we have spent our whole lives redefining rules and stereotypes. WYSIWYG! I must have chocolate every day and I can say the alphabet backwards (fast!) - so can all my kids - our claim to fame!

Fundamental Principles of Our Religion

We don't spend our twenties trying to "find" ourselves....we know who we are. This gives us a jump-start on life!

Dulcet - adj. A sound or voice so gorgeous you just have to listen to it again and again no matter what. So recognizable that even the faintest hint of it in the distance can send your mind reeling.
