Technical Difficulties

Yesterday my work computer was having seizures all day. It shut down every five minutes, right in the middle of whatever I was doing. So, I put in a ticket for IT and nobody came. Later I learned that my friend's computer died (the one who loaned me her laptop to use until we get mine repaired). I need to give it back now so I'm hoping the new power supply comes today. IT called back today but it's acting normal (of course). He's still going to take it for a couple of days to see if he can figure out what's going bad inside. It will be tough without either of my computers so I certainly hope to have the home PC up and running soon. How dependent we've become on these machines! I was happy to have a portable manual typewriter to take to college (thanks to my grandparents). We couldn't have even imagined what we're doing today with computers. Boy, does that make me sound old or what? "Back in my day...." So, all you young whippersnappers...

I'm trying to learn patience now and finding it agonizing. Unresolved issues cause great tension! Today, when I went for my walk at lunch, the temperature was in the 60s so I was actually able to cool off a bit. I needed it for sure. The last two days have been a bit rainy and cloudy - dreary days for anxious waiting.
