Thursday that's Friday for me

I take every other Friday off so I get some longer weekends. This is one of them so I'm just ending my week even though it's only Thursday. Today I went to the Beehive Tea House for lunch. What a cool, quaint, eclectic place - vegetarian (they do have fish). Tonight I'm heading to Pioneer Theater Company's Paint Your Wagon. I love live theater!!!

Tomorrow I plan to go to This is the Place Heritage Park. Need to take advantage of the end of the good weather and do some of those things I've put off all summer - trim my bushes, etc.

10:50 Update: I LOVED Paint Your Wagon. It was a fantastic show, very professional, perfect sound, set, costumes, choreography, music and front/center seats. Wow! A friend, Brittany, got me the tickets. I was so grateful she thought of me.

Who I am...

I'm "Dr. Mom," "Dex," "Merry Maid" (or Jetson's "Rosie"), "Betty Crocker," "Nurse Nancy," "Mom's B&B," "Miller Moving & Storage," "Dear Abby," "Got Junk?" "Google Maps," "Wiki-mom," "Memory Keeper" or "The Nanny" depending on who needs me at the moment. I'm a Mormon mom and grandma (traditional but sometimes unconventional). I like the new term for us boomer grandmas (glam-mother) because we have spent our whole lives redefining rules and stereotypes. WYSIWYG! I must have chocolate every day and I can say the alphabet backwards (fast!) - so can all my kids - our claim to fame!

Fundamental Principles of Our Religion

We don't spend our twenties trying to "find" ourselves....we know who we are. This gives us a jump-start on life!

Dulcet - adj. A sound or voice so gorgeous you just have to listen to it again and again no matter what. So recognizable that even the faintest hint of it in the distance can send your mind reeling.
