Jon's Venture

My son, Jon is launching his Christmas portrait special. For those who don't know, he is a photographer - previously part-time in addition to his day (or I should say night) job. His wedding photography is quite popular and he traditionally does our family's Christmas portraits which are also very popular. This year, his photography work is his main job and for the month of November, he will come to your home and take family portraits in a familiar and homey setting (turns out lots better than the Target and Walmart backdrops). If you host a picture party and invite others for free sittings at your home (in case they don't want to use their own), you will get free pictures. Think of it like other home party sales. Spend an evening with free sittings for you and some of your friends, scheduled every 30 minutes for as long as you want, then your photos can be free. It's a win-win! Who I am...

I'm "Dr. Mom," "Dex," "Merry Maid" (or Jetson's "Rosie"), "Betty Crocker," "Nurse Nancy," "Mom's B&B," "Miller Moving & Storage," "Dear Abby," "Got Junk?" "Google Maps," "Wiki-mom," "Memory Keeper" or "The Nanny" depending on who needs me at the moment. I'm a Mormon mom and grandma (traditional but sometimes unconventional). I like the new term for us boomer grandmas (glam-mother) because we have spent our whole lives redefining rules and stereotypes. WYSIWYG! I must have chocolate every day and I can say the alphabet backwards (fast!) - so can all my kids - our claim to fame!

Fundamental Principles of Our Religion

We don't spend our twenties trying to "find" ourselves....we know who we are. This gives us a jump-start on life!

Dulcet - adj. A sound or voice so gorgeous you just have to listen to it again and again no matter what. So recognizable that even the faintest hint of it in the distance can send your mind reeling.
