Oprah

Watch tomorrow (Thursday). I don't have TV at work and can't see it myself but Aubrey might show up via satellite. She didn't get to say much and of course it is edited before it airs but what a great opportunity for her. It was feedback on a book she read from a previous show. If you want her opinion you'll have to ask her directly.

I just saw Aubrey on Oprah! She was amazing! COMPLETELY exaggerated how short it was. It was actually 2 or 3 minutes and I was VERY impressed with everything she said, and Oprah and the author (missed his name) were clearly impressed as well. Aubrey's basic message, which directly contradicted the opinions of other women they had already aired, was that the book and its underwriting concept are true and Aubrey has already applied it in her marriage and experienced very good results.

WAY TO GO AUBREY!!!!

Who I am...

I'm "Dr. Mom," "Dex," "Merry Maid" (or Jetson's "Rosie"), "Betty Crocker," "Nurse Nancy," "Mom's B&B," "Miller Moving & Storage," "Dear Abby," "Got Junk?" "Google Maps," "Wiki-mom," "Memory Keeper" or "The Nanny" depending on who needs me at the moment. I'm a Mormon mom and grandma (traditional but sometimes unconventional). I like the new term for us boomer grandmas (glam-mother) because we have spent our whole lives redefining rules and stereotypes. WYSIWYG! I must have chocolate every day and I can say the alphabet backwards (fast!) - so can all my kids - our claim to fame!

Fundamental Principles of Our Religion

We don't spend our twenties trying to "find" ourselves....we know who we are. This gives us a jump-start on life!

Dulcet - adj. A sound or voice so gorgeous you just have to listen to it again and again no matter what. So recognizable that even the faintest hint of it in the distance can send your mind reeling. "I wish i could speak to her again just to hear those dulcet tones - Urban Dictionary... and the more traditional definition: 1, pleasant to the ear; melodious. 2. pleasant or agreeable to the eye or the feelings; soothing.

ecotistical adj. feeling self-important due to conservationist ecological practices
