My Haircut

You've already seen this one ~ BEFORE

AFTER ~ Carolyn and I with our "pixie" haircuts. It was my mom's idea. I guess she got tired of braiding every day.

I think this was the inspiration - a real beauty from that era. For me? Just not so good.... (I think a little natural curl helps and it worked better for Carolyn but mine doesn't even bend without help!)

I actually like it better shorter....in the picture w/it braided you guys look like little polygamous girls :) ha!

That's funny - though we would be needing the long sleeves and leggings - oh, and no bangs! Anyway, the hair was my claim to fame. After that I looked pretty ordinary. I will admit Carolyn's looked pretty good. Once I hit Junior high it was many years before I went short again. I was convinced it was a disaster for me!

Who I am...

I'm "Dr. Mom," "Dex," "Merry Maid" (or Jetson's "Rosie"), "Betty Crocker," "Nurse Nancy," "Mom's B&B," "Miller Moving & Storage," "Dear Abby," "Got Junk?" "Google Maps," "Wiki-mom," "Memory Keeper" or "The Nanny" depending on who needs me at the moment. I'm a Mormon mom and grandma (traditional but sometimes unconventional). I like the new term for us boomer grandmas (glam-mother) because we have spent our whole lives redefining rules and stereotypes. WYSIWYG! I must have chocolate every day and I can say the alphabet backwards (fast!) - so can all my kids - our claim to fame!

Fundamental Principles of Our Religion

We don't spend our twenties trying to "find" ourselves....we know who we are. This gives us a jump-start on life!

Dulcet - adj. A sound or voice so gorgeous you just have to listen to it again and again no matter what. So recognizable that even the faintest hint of it in the distance can send your mind reeling. "I wish i could speak to her again just to hear those dulcet tones - Urban Dictionary... and the more traditional definition: 1, pleasant to the ear; melodious. 2. pleasant or agreeable to the eye or the feelings; soothing.

ecotistical adj. feeling self-important due to conservationist ecological practices
