This 'n that

This is how the Sanchez family now gets to spend Sunday evenings! What's wrong with this picture? (I'm not there and I love the ocean!)

Today I went to the Church Office Building Health Fair to man the booth for the Utah Dept. of Health. I even got some tests done. Blood suger=106 even after tasting the Great Havest Bread and cholesterol=171. It was a very nice day. In the evening I was able to give blood and my hematocrit was 45 (the highest it's been in years!) My blood pressure was 124/72 so everything is pretty normal, now recorded for all time!

Nat and Rob are heading to California with the kids to go to Disneyland and to see the beach with Jenn and Fred and family. Steve and I are going to go down on Conference weekend, then drive home with Nat because Rob will be flying home after a few days but she and the kids want to stay two weeks. But she doesn't want to drive home alone so we'll go together. I'm looking forward to a nice vacation and spending time with the kids and grandkids too.

Some heart-wrenching decisions and discussions going on right now. Wish I could know exactly what, when, where, and how I should go.

Who I am...

I'm "Dr. Mom," "Dex," "Merry Maid" (or Jetson's "Rosie"), "Betty Crocker," "Nurse Nancy," "Mom's B&B," "Miller Moving & Storage," "Dear Abby," "Got Junk?" "Google Maps," "Wiki-mom," "Memory Keeper" or "The Nanny" depending on who needs me at the moment. I'm a Mormon mom and grandma (traditional but sometimes unconventional). I like the new term for us boomer grandmas (glam-mother) because we have spent our whole lives redefining rules and stereotypes. WYSIWYG! I must have chocolate every day and I can say the alphabet backwards (fast!) - so can all my kids - our claim to fame!

Fundamental Principles of Our Religion

We don't spend our twenties trying to "find" ourselves....we know who we are. This gives us a jump-start on life!

Dulcet - adj. A sound or voice so gorgeous you just have to listen to it again and again no matter what. So recognizable that even the faintest hint of it in the distance can send your mind reeling.
