The Demo

They had a Family Home Evening service project at Jenn and Fred's place. A "new" fridge is on its way.

The ceiling is braced and exposed with the crumbling brick fireplace coming down. Not exactly ready for the fridge.

Underneath it all. Some people might think this was taken after a natural disaster

I failed to mention that Ken is the chief contractor and they appreciate lots of help from other family members as well.

  2. It's gonna be fun to watch the progress on this. How long do they anticipate the project taking? Do they plan to do it all themselves or use contractors?

  3. I know - wow! They're mostly doing it themselves with lots of family helping. Ken is the major force and Rob, Jon, Jenn, Nat, the kids have all participated in the demolition. They also have family and friend plumber and electrician who will help as they can - at least on the consultation level. I hope one day I'll see what they love about this house!

  4. This is going to be an excellent home when we're finished with it. (Well, maybe not "finished" with it since no house is ever "finished".) It sits on a large lot, in an excellent area. It's a very good place to raise children.

The house itself has large open entertaining areas that will be perfect for family parties and get-togethers.

I like this house. It has a heritage of deep love between those who lived in it and I'm sure that tradition will continue with Jenn and her family.
