Update

Well, I'm crazy busy right now. I've been doing the jobs of 3 people for the last two weeks. The other nurse is in Africa for the whole month of June and my secretary left in April - still don't have a replacement. By the time we get one in another week or two, I will need to take time to teach her how to do her job so I can't say that will be much help. I'm resigned to June being this way. At least the rain keeps me from feeling depressed being stuck inside so much.

I've been told some places compensate you like 10% over your regular salary for doing what I'm doing. But, of course this is the State and we are experiencing severe budget cuts. Good thing I like my job for the most part and I am glad to be employed.

I haven't been much help to Jon and Karla, aside from a little babysitting now and again - bad timing all around. But, they're just about ready to go now. They have to take care of a few more details today, and are hopeful of selling their car so they can head out. We're praying for a safe and event-free trip across the U.S. I would love to be taking this trip for fun actually.
