This is where we are staying and where Chris, Kiyomi and family live. Some very large fish live in this pond.
Front door. Of course the shoes are removed before stepping up into the house. No shoes or even slippers are worn on the tatami mats. Special slippers are used for the bathroom and these are never used anywhere else. In hotels they are inscribed across the toe with
toilet.
Mr. Hayasaka sculpts his bushes and trees into artistic designs. Very little grass to be found here. He has a small patch under the clothes lines.
Very little parking space. They have to rent a space in a field owned by a neighbor to have somewhere for the van.
The van is a Toyota and the sedan is a Honda - naturally!
