Deal of the Day

Jet Blue has some great specials today only! Check it out if you plan to fly where they do Oct. 12 through December 16 - just in time for my birthday :) Lots of $29 to $99 deals. For example, New York to SLC is $89! Broadway is calling me - too bad I'm broke! Click on the post title to go to their website for booking your getaway.

Delta also has some good deals this week. Gotta love competition and capitalism. Southwest is also having a deal - travel through Feb. 11 I think.

Who I am...

I'm "Dr. Mom," "Dex," "Merry Maid" (or Jetson's "Rosie"), "Betty Crocker," "Nurse Nancy," "Mom's B&B," "Miller Moving & Storage," "Dear Abby," "Got Junk?" "Google Maps," "Wiki-mom," "Memory Keeper" or "The Nanny" depending on who needs me at the moment. I'm a Mormon mom and grandma (traditional but sometimes unconventional). I like the new term for us boomer grandmas (glam-mother) because we have spent our whole lives redefining rules and stereotypes. WYSIWYG! I must have chocolate every day and I can say the alphabet backwards (fast!) - so can all my kids - our claim to fame!

Fundamental Principles of Our Religion

We don't spend our twenties trying to "find" ourselves....we know who we are. This gives us a jump-start on life!

Dulcet - adj. A sound or voice so gorgeous you just have to listen to it again and again no matter what. So recognizable that even the faintest hint of it in the distance can send your mind reeling. "I wish i could speak to her again just to hear those dulcet tones - Urban Dictionary... and the more traditional definition: 1, pleasant to the ear; melodious. 2. pleasant or agreeable to the eye or the feelings; soothing.
Quotidian - adj. usual or customary; everyday: quotidian needs.

ecotistical adj. feeling self-important due to conservationist ecological practices
