Helping Hands in Haiti

Tequita Andrews (Mormon Times contributor) said when reflecting on the situation in Haiti, "Adversity can show us if we are planted on shallow ground in our faith. If we are on shallow ground, we will more likely to abandon our faith and become bitter towards God. However, if we are planted on solid ground, we will trust God to help us overcome our circumstances." Read her comments here.

Who I am...

I'm "Dr. Mom," "Dex," "Merry Maid" (or Jetson's "Rosie"), "Betty Crocker," "Nurse Nancy," "Mom's B&B," "Miller Moving & Storage," "Dear Abby," "Got Junk?" "Google Maps," "Wiki-mom," "Memory Keeper" or "The Nanny" depending on who needs me at the moment. I'm a Mormon mom and grandma (traditional but sometimes unconventional). I like the new term for us boomer grandmas (glam-mother) because we have spent our whole lives redefining rules and stereotypes. WYSIWYG! I must have chocolate every day and I can say the alphabet backwards (fast!) - so can all my kids - our claim to fame!

Fundamental Principles of Our Religion

We don't spend our twenties trying to "find" ourselves....we know who we are. This gives us a jump-start on life!

Dulcet - adj. A sound or voice so gorgeous you just have to listen to it again and again no matter what. So recognizable that even the faintest hint of it in the distance can send your mind reeling.
