Nat reminded me I should explain... We coined the phrase "Dixie Chicks" because we lived in a neighborhood called, Dixie Valley. We formed a bond at that time in our lives that hasn't been broken! (I added "hen" because we're all moms and we love to brag about our baby "chicks")
This group of YOUNG ladies were at Monday night's get-together at the Old Spaghetti Factory. We doubled our numbers from last summer's lunch and the goal is to double again next time - we'll each bring another friend from our past. These were friends from when we had our babies and we wouldn't have survived without each other. So great to see them again!
Top row: Cindy C, Debbie S, Cozi F, Second row: Bonnie H, Jane L, Teresa R, Third row: Linda D, Kathy W, Me, Debbie N, Bottom row: Tiffany J, Patti R, Ada J, Elouise L
This is where I share RANDOM rants and ruminations, beliefs, lists, dreams, goals, frustrations, bargains, and social injustices (EVAGATION, n. the act of wandering; excursion; a roving or rambling). More about me than you wanted to know. You may not agree with me but I hope you share my belief that what makes America great is freedom to have and express differing views. Enjoy peeking into my public journal if you want to know that part of me I share here. Enjoy!
How fun that you are getting together!
ReplyDeleteYou should explain on your blog why you're called the Dixie Chicks Hens, for anyone that can't figure it out.
