Haitian Children Arrive - finally!

After the long wait, 10 children arrive in SLC to meet their new families. Read the article in the DesNews. The photos are priceless!

Update from Dr. Elia here. With the Port Au Prince Airport closed to civilian flights he and his team are detouring to get to Haiti so more delays for needed medical care, but they'll get there! He also discussed the orphanage where these kids were

Who I am...

I'm "Dr. Mom," "Dex," "Merry Maid" (or Jetson's "Rosie"), "Betty Crocker," "Nurse Nancy," "Mom's B&B," "Miller Moving & Storage," "Dear Abby," "Got Junk?" "Google Maps," "Wiki-mom," "Memory Keeper" or "The Nanny" depending on who needs me at the moment. I'm a Mormon mom and grandma (traditional but sometimes unconventional). I like the new term for us boomer grandmas (glam-mother) because we have spent our whole lives redefining rules and stereotypes. WYSIWYG! I must have chocolate every day and I can say the alphabet backwards (fast!) - so can all my kids - our claim to fame!

Fundamental Principles of Our Religion

We don't spend our twenties trying to "find" ourselves....we know who we are. This gives us a jump-start on life!

Dulcet - adj. A sound or voice so gorgeous you just have to listen to it again and again no matter what. So recognizable that even the faintest hint of it in the distance can send your mind reeling. "I wish i could speak to her again just to hear those dulcet tones - Urban Dictionary... and the more traditional definition: 1, pleasant to the ear; melodious. 2. pleasant or agreeable to the eye or the feelings; soothing.
