Happy Easter!

Madi loved her Aunt Natalie. (Jenny too - how did we manage not to have pictures of that?)  It was so cute with both little ones on her lap in their jammies with their sippy cups at night.
The girls love to tickle their dad.  They missed him when he went to Priesthood Meeting.
Fun with the girls.
So good to see Jon so happy!

When his girls are with him, he's like a different person entirely.  He smiles and jokes and enjoys life.

As a Grandparent living a distance from grandchildren is hard, but not tragic as it is for the father to be away from his own children.  It's heartbreaking.  Jon gets a tiny little week with them.  We had hoped to have them next Sunday for church but we just learned they have a very early flight out.  It's terrible to make them leave in the wee hours of the morning.  Without a doubt Jon will be savoring every last minute with the girls so it will be an ordeal to get them to off at 6:45 AM.  And it's so sad for them!

The girls are enjoying their cousins, aunts and uncles too.  They have loved playing with Suki.  Liz really wants to live in Utah, and Madi just adores her dad; will not let him out of her sight.  Bittersweet.

  1. I swear my heart breaks a little more every time I think about Jon not being with his girls (and vice versa) every single day. There are few fathers who adore their children more completely than Jon does. It is not fair and makes me so angry that this injustice has been done to him and his children!

  2. WHAT?! I'm sorry, but NO ONE adores their children more completely than I do. There may be a few who love their children as much as me, but no one loves them more.

    Just sayin'.
