FHE

So, tonight I tried out a singles' FHE group in Centerville. There were people from all over the place. They do a pot luck dinner and have a speaker so it was nice. Haven't done any kind of home evening for quite a long time. Other than that it was a typical work day Monday, which of course is not as nice as a Monday holiday! But, we don't get too many of those. I guess I'll go again next week because John Lund is the speaker.

Tonight I feel like I've got prodromal symptoms and may be getting sick so I'd better get to bed earlier than usual I guess. Sweet dreams!

Who I am...

I'm "Dr. Mom," "Dex," "Merry Maid" (or Jetson's "Rosie"), "Betty Crocker," "Nurse Nancy," "Mom's B&B," "Miller Moving & Storage," "Dear Abby," "Got Junk?" "Google Maps," "Wiki-mom," "Memory Keeper" or "The Nanny" depending on who needs me at the moment. I'm a Mormon mom and grandma (traditional but sometimes unconventional). I like the new term for us boomer grandmas (glam-mother) because we have spent our whole lives redefining rules and stereotypes. WYSIWYG! I must have chocolate every day and I can say the alphabet backwards (fast!) - so can all my kids - our claim to fame!

Fundamental Principles of Our Religion

We don't spend our twenties trying to "find" ourselves....we know who we are. This gives us a jump-start on life!

Dulcet - adj. A sound or voice so gorgeous you just have to listen to it again and again no matter what. So recognizable that even the faintest hint of it in the distance can send your mind reeling.
