A Nice Re-do

I hope to soon post photos of my completed "new" living room. The paint was my mom's Christmas and birthday gifts to me, the labor (painting) Jenn/Nat and their husbands gave me for my birthday. It's looking great and Steve hung the curtain rods today. The table is the one Rob made and he and Nat gave me for Christmas (it will be painted soon). I'm also planning to one day get a new couch to finish it off. My favorite TV viewing is HGTV. My dream is to be chosen by them for a redecorating job! My DIY version would probably fall in the category of Decorating on a Dime.

(Any suggestions for how to get the dust specks off my camera lens?)

Who I am...

I'm "Dr. Mom," "Dex," "Merry Maid" (or Jetson's "Rosie"), "Betty Crocker," "Nurse Nancy," "Mom's B&B," "Miller Moving & Storage," "Dear Abby," "Got Junk?" "Google Maps," "Wiki-mom," "Memory Keeper" or "The Nanny" depending on who needs me at the moment. I'm a Mormon mom and grandma (traditional but sometimes unconventional). I like the new term for us boomer grandmas (glam-mother) because we have spent our whole lives redefining rules and stereotypes. WYSIWYG! I must have chocolate every day and I can say the alphabet backwards (fast!) - so can all my kids - our claim to fame!

Fundamental Principles of Our Religion

We don't spend our twenties trying to "find" ourselves....we know who we are. This gives us a jump-start on life!

Dulcet - adj. A sound or voice so gorgeous you just have to listen to it again and again no matter what. So recognizable that even the faintest hint of it in the distance can send your mind reeling.
