Perfect temperatures this weekend (until Sunday when we had a chilly barbecue). Rain was forecast for the whole weekend but it turned out every day except Sunday was great and would have been a better barbecue day. Oh well, you can never predict May weather in Utah.
I was able to finish my garden, plant flowers, and install the new yard footlights the kids gave me for Mother's Day. I also did the weekly yard maintenance. We're due for a trip to the DI and the dump. Jon and Karla are planning a yard sale at my house next weekend in preparation for their move. Then the excess is outa here.
Jon & Liz washed my car! (No wonder it rained!)

The snowballs are in full glory.

Aren't trees great?

The vinca goes wild but it's pretty low maintenance. You can't really see the little purple flowers that come out in the spring but they're here.

Adding a few new perenials in the backyard. The columbine, habiscus, and trumpet vines are doing well this year. My little hydrangea survived the winter and looks like it will be a keeper (a Mother's Day gift from Chris and family last year). I even have several peony buds this year - that one has been slow getting going.

My maple tree is getting big and providing quite a bit of shade now.
your yard looks great!!
