Yamagata

I couldn't find a drink with the word "Diet" on it anywhere - until I came to this display showing "Diet Water." They do have Coke Zero, but it's just not the same.
I always love to see the way they write English. This was a really cool shop with some nice, though expensive clothes. It's a "Just! Clearance"
Yamagata-shi (city) is in Yamagata Prefecture in the north part of the main island of Japan. The name means "mountain shape" and it is on the same latitude as we are so seasons are similar. It also sits in a valley surrounded by mountains, like Salt Lake. They do get much higher humidity here.
These views were taken from the 24th floor of the tallest building in the city.
A park and stadium sits in an area that used to be a castle and a moat surrounds it.
Looks a lot like any other city in the USA from a distance. Population is about 260,000 with a density of about 669.49 per square km.
