Happy Birthday, Jenn

Happy birthday to my eldest daughter, Jennifer. She is smart, spiritual, feisty, caring, generous, baby-loving, and funny. She reluctantly let me post some photos. Most often she's behind the camera; not in front of it. Here she is with her family in front of the tabernacle.

I wish I could make Jenn's birthday week just perfect for her. It seems like once you become a mom, your special day becomes just another day, which is so not fair. Jenny is one of the most generous people (with anything those around her need) I know. If anyone deserves a happy birthday week, it's her. The pictures you posted are very true to life - all her nieces and nephews are drawn to her.

Who I am...

I'm "Dr. Mom," "Dex," "Merry Maid" (or Jetson's "Rosie"), "Betty Crocker," "Nurse Nancy," "Mom's B&B," "Miller Moving & Storage," "Dear Abby," "Got Junk?" "Google Maps," "Wiki-mom," "Memory Keeper" or "The Nanny" depending on who needs me at the moment. I'm a Mormon mom and grandma (traditional but sometimes unconventional). I like the new term for us boomer grandmas (glam-mother) because we have spent our whole lives redefining rules and stereotypes. WYSIWYG! I must have chocolate every day and I can say the alphabet backwards (fast!) - so can all my kids - our claim to fame!

Fundamental Principles of Our Religion

We don't spend our twenties trying to "find" ourselves....we know who we are. This gives us a jump-start on life!

Dulcet - adj. A sound or voice so gorgeous you just have to listen to it again and again no matter what. So recognizable that even the faintest hint of it in the distance can send your mind reeling. "I wish i could speak to her again just to hear those dulcet tones - Urban Dictionary... and the more traditional definition: 1, pleasant to the ear; melodious. 2. pleasant or agreeable to the eye or the feelings; soothing.
