I do know we need healthcare reform and I feel it should be kept within each state. We sometimes forget that we are the United States of America. We also need to address tort reform and I don't see that at all. This appears to be another bandaid with potentially disastrous results.

It is unfortunate that the states themselves haven't come up with a better plan already, but pushing through something that may be disastrous is very scary. I firmly believe that reform is needed but we shouldn't do it wrong just so it can be done quickly. Not seeing the whole picture has gotten us into plenty of messes already. This important issue needs adequate study, especially study of countries where universal health care is working, and it needs to be designed from the bottom up with everyone participating in order for it to be cost effective. You can't half do this.
