My House is a Revolving Door or a B&B

We grabbed a quick lunch before saying good-bye. (L ->R: Jenn, Aubrey, Asher, Debbie, Natalie, Kiyomi)

Aubrey and the boys headed back to Kansas tonight. I had about an hour's notice since I was in a seminar all day. She feels it was productive to come here and plans to return with her things. We'll see how it goes. Meanwhile, the spare bedroom is vacant once again.

Of course, those who come here are also subjected to my opinions, advice, and house rules. Maybe that's why she left....

Who I am...

I'm "Dr. Mom," "Dex," "Merry Maid" (or Jetson's "Rosie"), "Betty Crocker," "Nurse Nancy," "Mom's B&B," "Miller Moving & Storage," "Dear Abby," "Got Junk?" "Google Maps," "Wiki-mom," "Memory Keeper" or "The Nanny" depending on who needs me at the moment. I'm a Mormon mom and grandma (traditional but sometimes unconventional). I like the new term for us boomer grandmas (glam-mother) because we have spent our whole lives redefining rules and stereotypes. WYSIWYG! I must have chocolate every day and I can say the alphabet backwards (fast!) - so can all my kids - our claim to fame!

Fundamental Principles of Our Religion

We don't spend our twenties trying to "find" ourselves....we know who we are. This gives us a jump-start on life!

Dulcet - adj. A sound or voice so gorgeous you just have to listen to it again and again no matter what. So recognizable that even the faintest hint of it in the distance can send your mind reeling. "I wish i could speak to her again just to hear those dulcet tones - Urban Dictionary... and the more traditional definition: 1, pleasant to the ear; melodious. 2. pleasant or agreeable to the eye or the feelings; soothing.

ecotistical adj. feeling self-important due to conservationist ecological practices
